Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the BingeCall service. This includes:

• ·Account information — email address and display name when you sign up. Google OAuth users additionally share a profile photo URL.
• ·Usage data — video chat minutes used per week (to enforce the free-tier 30-minute limit). We do not record, store, or process video or audio content from your calls.
• ·Payment information — processed entirely by Razorpay. We store only the order ID, payment status, and subscription period. We never see or store your card details.
• ·Room data — room codes and participant presence are stored temporarily and deleted after 24 hours of inactivity.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• ·We do not record or store your video calls or audio.
• ·We do not store chat message history beyond the active session.
• ·We do not track which shows or movies you watch.
• ·We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Chrome Extension Permissions

The BingeCall extension requests the following permissions:

• ·Storage — to save your authentication token and display name locally on your device.
• ·Tabs — to detect when you navigate to a supported streaming site.
• ·Scripting / activeTab — to inject the party controls UI into the streaming page.
• ·Host permissions (netflix.com, youtube.com, etc.) — to enable content scripts on supported platforms.

The extension never reads your browsing history, intercepted network requests, or the content of pages you visit outside of supported streaming platforms.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. Row-level security policies ensure that users can only access their own data. All connections are encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt by Supabase Auth — we never see plaintext passwords.

5. Data Retention

• ·Room data: deleted 24 hours after the last participant leaves.
• ·Account data: retained until you delete your account.
• ·Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@bingecall.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users of material changes to this policy via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of BingeCall after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
